On September 22, 2022 the EASI-STRESS project will host a scientific workshop about various aspects of industrial residual stress analysis and the use of analytical research infrastructures (ARI) such as synchrotrons and neutron sources. The event will take place in Grenoble (FR) at the European Photon & Neutron Science Campus, the home of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) and Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) – two of Europe’s leading ARIs in this field. The workshop will cover various lab-based and ARI-based methods for residual stress analysis and their complementarity. It will also give an overview about industrial use of ARIs in general from various access models to examples of industrial research. In addition, participants have the option to join guided tours to the instruments of ESRF and ILL. Please register soon, since for those who would like to join the tour to the research facilities, registration will be needed by July 31th, 2022.
